The name "Grace Memorial" is so appropriate for the business because of their graceful ways towards our requests. Brian was extremely helpful, accommodating, and calm and very patience with all my phone calls trying to do the planning of our Uncle Allan’s funeral from long distance communication. The fact he did all of the paperwork was a huge burden lifted from me. Listening to our requests and accommodating us even having the funeral within few days and on Sunday was extremely appreciated. We heard about Grace Memorial through a friend as we are not from Medicine Hat. After our mothers passing, Brian and Lorinda met us at the home and we instantly knew we were in good hands. Brian listened to what we wanted and was always available for any questions and concerns.

In January 2022, our dear mother, Esther McGregor, passed away in Swift Current at age one hundred. A previous arrangement had been made with Grace Memorial to transport her body to Medicine Hat. Staying true to their commitment, they were there within a few hours despite winter road conditions. Grace’s staff was gentle and compassionate with us while we communicated our many requests over the phone. Our family, who awaited Mum’s arrival for a graveside service in Calgary, was shown the same patience and kindness. Grace Memorial managed a multi-faceted assignment with professional confidence, while not sacrificing personal touch. We are thankful for the major role the staff played in making Mum’s final journey one of dignity.

Keri found a lovely picture of Echo Dale for a background. This is so meaningful, as we did go to Echo Dale forty-five times in 2021 to kayak in the pond, and to walk. Those kindly gestures mean a lot. Plus, Keri was very receptive to changes in the wording of the obituary. The staff at Grace Memorial even plants a Memorial Tree in memory. Grace Memorial has provided us with an affordable and yet an extremely professional service which was a process that included a timely sequence of events; big and small but each one was so very important. We are very grateful for how everything turned out. Prior to the loss of my brother, we had heard all positive comments about Grace Memorial plus the word affordable had our attention. Those being two very important parameters we decided to go with Grace.

It has been a rough few years for my family, with a lot of losses. When my Dad passed away suddenly I heard of a new funeral home here in Medicine Hat and decided to choose them to take care of us. I couldn’t be more happy. Professional, compassionate, patient and kind; qualities I have found in other funeral homes as well, but for whatever reason it seemed much more personal and intimate at Grace Memorial. The entire experience was handled so smoothly and calmly that making decisions was simple and gave us more time to simply grieve.
