Vera Foster (Gauthier)

Vera Marlene Foster (Gauthier) of Medicine Hat passed away on December 11th, 2022, peacefully within her home, at the age of 66.

A service and gathering will be held in her honor in the spring of 2023, at Police Point Park on May 6th for any who wish to attend.

Vera was born in Calgary to Harry and Edith Foster on February 13th, 1956. She grew up in Water Valley and moved to many places within her life. She finally settled in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 2015. Vera is survived by her son Brian Lochhead; her granddaughter Kyrstin Lochhead; her great-grand daughter, Fern Lochhead; her sister Betty Anderson; her brother Martin Foster; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Vera is predeceased by her daughter Jeanette Lochhead; brother Alan Foster; and her parents Harry and Edith Foster.

Vera is remembered for her enjoyment of cooking and baking, as she always made wonderful food that brought our families together during the holidays. She is remembered for how tenacious she was in life, and how she worked hard throughout it. She is loved and missed dearly by us all.
