Velma Berg (nee Bulbeck) passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 97 years in Medicine Hat, AB. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Poisson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Jalbert and their daughter, Zoe, Kendra (Brandon) Kobley and their children, Brie and Noah, Michelle Poisson, Erika Poisson, Shepherd Poisson, Mike (Dawn) Purdy and Mike’s son, Hunter and other cherished friends and family members.
Velma was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Berg; sons, Wilfred Poisson, in infancy, Richard Poisson and Reginald Poisson. She was the middle child, but outlived all her 9 brothers and sisters.
Velma was a retired nurse, a devoted member of the United Church and she enjoyed baking. She was a long-time resident at the Good Samaritan South Ridge Village in Medicine Hat and although she was living with dementia in her final years, she was always smiling and laughing and easy to be around.
Donations in Velma’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 1:00PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, SK.
