Tyler Dean Bank

Tyler Bank will always be remembered as a guy who was quick to laugh and lend a hand, and had a heart of gold. 

Tyler passed away suddenly on September 7, 2023, in Medicine Hat, AB, at the age of 40. 

In those 40 years, Tyler made many special friendships and memories. His proudest moment of all was the birth of his son, Liam. Together, they would go skating and swimming, threw footballs, played hockey and watched the games of their favourite team, The Oilers. 

Tyler was always happiest when he was near his son, his friends and his family. He was so accepting of others and always made those around him feel comfortable. He had a light only others could see. 

Left to cherish his wonderful smile is his mother, Janice Allen (Les Shepard); father, Martin (Pat) Bank; son, Liam Bank and his mother, Cathy Banasch; step-brother, Brandon (Erin) Wirsch; sister, Natalie (Noel) Appleton and their children, Bennett and Eddie; stand-in sister, Sabrina Moore; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were like brothers. 

Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents, Cecil and Grace Allen, and Stanley and Francis Bank. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kin Coulee Toboggan Hill Picnic Shelter on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 2:00PM.

For those wishing to do so, a memory photo board will be created and the family would love for you to add your favorite photo of Tyler. Photos can be sent to tylerbankmemorial@gmail.com, posted on his facebook page or bring them to the Celebration of Life and they can be added at that time. The Celebration will continue after service at the Silver Buckle in the upstairs gathering space. Children are welcome and food will be provided.
