A time of fellowship will take place immediately following the service.
Shane is survived by his mom, Karyn (Alex); siblings, Dave (Jody), Troy (Justina), and Amber (Jordan);
his many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and his loving aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his dad Robert Kjos; grandparents, Clifford and Leona Kjos, Elizabeth Schottner, Louis Schottner, and Erhart Schafer; uncle, Leonard Kjos; sister-in-law, Erin Kjos; cousin, Darren Kjos; second cousins, Clay Broen, and Catlin Day.
Shane Clifford Kjos was born on Sunday, November 7, 1976, to Robert and Karyn Kjos in the Provost Hospital in Provost, Alberta. Shane attended elementary school in Provost and he attended Medicine Hat High School until grade 11. While in high school, Shane took great pride in his football days, and also the time he spent body building.
Shane had a few hobbies and interests. He enjoyed horse-back riding, and woodworking. He picked up this trait in his earlier years, and put it to good use, doing jobs for family and friends. He also loved his hockey. When he was much younger, he was a Calgary flames fan, but he did eventually join his family in cheering for the right team, the Oilers!
Shane had a rough exterior and yet when you got to know him, you would find that he had a softer side to him. He loved to joke around and tell stories. He loved his nieces and nephews and called to talk, or razz them about a hockey game score. He wore his heart on his sleeve. Shane was always willing to help wherever he could. Shane, you will be in our hearts forever.
