Orchid Haupt Obituary
Orchid Haupt passed away on October 10th, 2024, at the age of 97. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Edward Haupt; son, Brian Haughton (Holly Potter); grandson, Sam Haughton; granddaughter, Ann Haughton; brother, Brian MacKeracher; niece, Debbie MacKeracher and her children. Orchid was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Ida MacKeracher; brother, Charles MacKeracher; niece, Beth MacKeracher.
Orchid was born in Montreal where she enjoyed visiting her father’s cabin at the lake and worked at a bank until she retired. She moved from Montreal to Medicine Hat in 2001 where she met Ed and they married in 2003. Orchid loved her dog, modelling, travelling, camping, reading, singing in the church choir and karaoke. She also enjoyed flowers and watching her garden grow as well as watching movies and tv series.
A luncheon will be held at St John's Presbyterian Church (504 2 St SE) on Wednesday, October 23rd from 2-4pm.
