Marylyn Faye Banek (Grimshaw)

Our dear Mom, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23rd, 2022, at the age of 75 years, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Her memory will be cherished by her five children, Kerry (Brent) Barrett, Karen (Bruce) Logan, Koreen Banek (Dennis), Kevin (Candice) Banek and Kristy (Dann) Bergdahl; five grandchildren, Nikki Banek (Ty), Corey Logan (Heather), Ryan (Tayla) Logan, Julia Banek-Jensen (Ryan) and Luke Banek; two great grandchildren, Arianna and Braxton; along with her two brothers, Allen and Trevor Grimshaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marylyn loved spending time with family and friends, crafting, decorating, gardening, shopping, and baking. These times spent together will always be cherished.

Marylyn spent many years helping in Women’s Ministries at the Phoenix Safe House, volunteered at The Dream Centre and served on the Medicine Hat Transit board.

A visitation will be held at Grace Memorial on Wednesday, September 28th 6pm-8pm. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29th. A public luncheon will follow at First Assembly of God Church @ 2:00pm. Donations in Marylyn’s memory may be made to Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society by visiting www.mhwss.ca.
