Marlene Janke Obituary
Marlene Janke passed away on January 9th, 2026, at the age of 77 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Harvey Janke; son, Trevor (Cara) Janke; daughter, Celeste (Dan) O’Brien; granddaughter, Hanna Janke; brothers, Gary Jonescu and Nick Jonescu; sister-in-law, Joanne Jonescu. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Jonescu; brother, Bryce Jonescu.
Marlene was born in Limerick, SK and raised in Assiniboia, SK. She completed high school at Caronport Bible College. She also completed 2 years of education at the College of Education Centre in Regina. Marlene enjoyed travelling, gardening, sewing, and baking. She loved spending time with her granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Medicine Hat Health Foundation by visiting www.ourhealthfoundation.ca.
