Margaret Murray Obituary
Margaret 'Marg' Phyllis Murray (nee Symbalisty), passed away peacefully at River Ridge Seniors Village in Medicine Hat, AB, early Tuesday, June 20, 2023, where she resided for 4 years. She had suffered from Dementia, but she still managed to have a smile on her face and many giggles when you least expected it.
Marg and Bill have 2 children; Garnet Murray of Medicine Hat, Debbie (Danny) Mikkelsen; and 2 grandsons, Peter and Dexter of Calgary, AB.
Margaret was born on November 15, 1936, in Grandview, Manitoba to Seman 'Sam' and Mary (nee Baron) Symbalisty who both immigrated to Canada from the Ukraine.
Marg came from a very large family. She was 1 of 9 children. Marg is predeceased by her husband Bill, who passed away on February 6th, 2022; grandmother, Sophia; father, Seman; mother, Mary; brothers, Jake, Andrew and Morris; sisters, Ann Buyer, Gladys Taylor and Isabel Switzer.
Marg is survived by her 2 brothers and their spouses, Eugene (Shirley), William (Stella); sister-in-law, Mildred (Terry) Hills; and many nieces and nephews.
Marg always got excited when spring was coming as she enjoyed working in the garden and flower beds. She also loved entertaining family and had a passion for cooking and playing golf.
A private graveside service will be held on June 28th, 2023 at 2:00PM at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery in Calgary, AB, where she will be laid to rest with her husband William.
