It is with deep sadness that the family of Malcolm Medd announce his passing at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on June 12th, 2026, at the age of 76.
Malcolm is predeceased by his father, Frank; mother, Violet (Farndale); brother, Robert.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Avril; stepson, Evan (Laughlin); brothers, Peter, Geoff and Richard; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was born in Thornaby, Yorkshire. He enlisted in the British Army and was deployed to BATUS in 1972. He ultimately decided to move to Canada permanently. Malcolm attended SAIT and graduated as a Red Seal Electrician. He applied his trade in various electrical companies throughout Medicine Hat and Saskatchewan. He spent the last 15 years of his working life at CF industries. Malcolm was larger than life. He enjoyed sports, especially soccer and golf and he loved to make everyone laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
