Lorraine Elizabeth (Steier) Hunt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 8th, 2024 in St. Joseph’s Home in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She was born May 10th, 1945 in Prelate, Saskatchewan to Roy and Elizabeth Steier. Lorraine was a woman of unwavering positivity who welcomed everyone into her life with open arms. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Lorraine married the love of her life, Jim Hunt, on November 8th, 1969, and together they shared nearly fifty-five years of unconditional love, support, and dedication to one another. They were blessed with their three children, Trevor (Michelle), Trent (Tammy), and Tanya (Sam). Lorraine’s grandchildren, Jerrod (Shanique), Robert, Alexandra, Samantha, Isabelle, Madison, Mathew, James, Parker, and Celine, were the pride and joy of her life. She spoke often of their fond memories together and was beyond elated to meet her first great-grandchild, Alyra. Lorraine will be remembered for her commitment to her family and will continue to inspire those around her. A private Memorial Service in her honour will be held Friday, August 16th.
