Laroy was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on September 5th, 1938 to Angelo and Cecelia Viola as the third of nine children. He married Connie Allred on September 2nd, 1965 in the Cardston, Alberta Temple. They moved to Grande Prairie where they had their two daughters, Tracey and Tannis, and then moved to Medicine Hat in 1973 where they had their son Scott. After they moved, Laroy worked for Sears in the appliance repair division until that service was no longer offered. At that time he then worked for Valley irrigation fixing pivots, followed by pilar maintenance at Rogers Sugar Factory. Laroy was devoted to his family and served his community by faithfully fulfilling any church calling asked of him, and he was always supportive of all of his grandkids’ many sports and fine arts activities.
Laroy passed away unexpectedly on September 21st while enjoying a night out with grandkids. Funeral services will be held on 30 September at 2:00PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Crescent Heights. The family will greet people beginning at 1:00PM.
