Katherine "Kathy" Desjarlais Obituary
Kathy Desjarlais of Medicine Hat, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Rick) Droeske, Denise (Matt) Desjarlais, and Carrie (Francis) Klaiber; grandchildren, Trevor, Brandon, Dustin, Damian, Darian, Kobrin, and Ariel; brother, Balzer; and sisters, Ann and Pauline. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret; daughter, Sherry; brothers, Lou, Gary, and Peter; and sister, Theresa.
Katherine was born on December 7, 1946, in Leader, SK. She moved to Edmonton and had 2 of her children there. In 1972, she relocated to Medicine Hat and raised 4 girls as a single mom. She worked hard to provide for her family.
She enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and yahtzee, and loved camping with family and friends.
No formal service will be held. Donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society by visiting cancer.ca.
