Karl Wilk Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Karl Wilk at the age of 89 on Thursday, December 12th, 2024.
Karl is survived by his loving wife, Soo-Kee; daughters, Carmen, Manuela and Birgit (Sony); grandchildren, Blaine, Todd, Kaylee, Brandon, Paige, Jillian and Josh; great grandchildren, Aurora, Araya and Ellie. Karl will also be remembered by Soo-Kee's family, relatives in Germany, his church family and friends.
Karl recently celebrated his 89th birthday on October 8th and had a wonderful day. Thank you to the South Country Village staff for the care and support provided over the past year and doing a little “jig” with him to brighten his day. Also, thanks to the homecare staff who provided Karl with care in his home over several years.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in Karl’s memory to AJ’s Loan Cupboard (PO Box 45006, Mackenzie Drugs Postal Outlet, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 0B1) or the SPCA as he had a love and fondness for animals.
