Obituary
Joyce Gladys Veale passed away on Sunday March 26th, 2023, at the age of 83. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her children, Charlene (June), Kelly, Chrissie and Curtis; grandchildren, Evan (Tasha), Melissa and Damon; her sister, June Wiersma and brother, Merlin Goodheart.
Joyce was sadly predeceased by her daughter, Janice Rees in 2012; and the love of her life, Ken Veale in 2015; brother, Leonard Goodheart; her parents, Gladys and Joe Goodheart.
Joyce was born in Bracken, Saskatchewan in 1939. Joyce married Ken in 1956 and they raised their children in Redcliff and Suffield, Alberta.
In 1975, Joyce and Ken Started Ken Veale Sand and Gravel. Joyce worked tirelessly looking after the kids, the garden, chickens and whenever dad needed help with the business. Joyce enjoyed sewing, cards, darts, rodeos and watching chuckwagons.
A graveside service will be held on April 14th, 2023 at Redcliff Cemetery at 1:00pm with Randy Feere officiating and lunch to follow at Redcliff Senior’s Centre – 26 Main St S. For those wishing to attend, visitation will be held Thursday, April 13th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Grace Memorial.
