It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, James Bonagofsky, who left us too soon on July 24, 2025. Born November 14, 1957, to Clement & Emily Bonagofsky. James was a devout Catholic. He found peace in prayer and the promise of eternal life, sharing his faith through kindness and compassion to others.
He leaves behind his seven siblings to cherish his memory, Harry (Matilda†), Tony & Katherine, Lorraine & Dave, Irene (Gordon†), Mary Anne & Robert, Yvonne, Darrell & Dawn; and numerous nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents; two brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws.
James was compassionate about community service, the first to volunteer to help others in need. He met a young family with four children; these children meant the world to him, and he was overjoyed with their after-school visits. James positively impacted his community and will be truly missed.
James loved baseball and played senior slow pitch for many years until his health declined. Along the way, he forged many close friendships.
James fought his battle against cancer with unwavering courage. Despite this, he never lost his infectious smile. He spread joy to family and friends with his quick wit and ability to make everyone laugh.
He was a true blessing to all who knew him but would have said he was the one who was blessed.
