Jacob "Jake" Knelsen Obituary
Jake Knelsen was born May 28, 1952, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan to Peter and Anna Knelsen. He grew up on the family farm near Wymark, Saskatchewan. He married Terry Shook in November, 1976. They were married for 13 years and had 3 children: Clayton (Tara) Knelsen, Kelsey (Charity) Knelsen, Myra (Granden) Bertrand. Jake has 5 grandchildren, Aarilynn Bertrand, Kasidee Knelsen, Erica Knelsen, Jemmah Knelsen and Keaton Knelsen.
During his career, Jake worked many large construction projects across the prairies. Later settling in Swift Current working at Remple Construction and living with his life partner, Teresa Dyck.
Jake was survived by his siblings, John (Marilyn) Knelsen, Helena (Ed) Glum, Susan (Ken) Heyer, Joy Teron, Marion (Terry) McConnell, Peter (Arlie) Knelsen, William (Ula) Knelsen; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Anna Knelsen and one brother, Andreas Knelsen.
No formal service will be held.
