It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Gordon Coady (formerly of Mouring Cove and English Harbour East), announce his passing on March 29th, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Home at the age of 59 years after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of memories his wife of 34 years, Sherry; daughter, Kyla (Lee Kowatch); grandchildren, Madison, Baylee and Jamie; sisters, Mary (George) Thistle and Yvonne Coady; brothers, John (Rowena) Coady, Eugene (Almeila) Coady, Allan (Effie) Coady, Wally (Debbie) Coady, Brian (Marjorie) Coady, Dennis (Ashley) Coady and Robbie (Amanda) Coady; sister-in-law, Ivy Coady; brother-in-law, Brian (Delores) Kearley; sisters-in-law, Leah (Ben) Lawrence, Debbie (William) Lavhey and Jessie Clarke; special friends, Pauline and Ches Dominaux; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Gord was predeceased by baby son, Brandon Coady; parents, Walter and Isabella Coady; sister, Dianne Coady; brother, Thomas Coady; mother and father-in-law, Absalom and Margaret Kearley; brothers-in-law, Peter Brown and Tom Smith.
In keeping with Gord’s wishes, cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
