Gladys Thompson passed away peacefully in the arms of her Savior Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026. Gladys was born on her family farm inn Roblin, MB. Over the span of her years, she moved to Nelson and Cranbrook in B.C., followed by moves to Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. Her final residence was at Chinook Village that she loved and made many friends, including her best friend, Victoria. Mom loved gospel music and attending church. She had a very humorous personality that was enjoyed by all around her. Her greatest love was her family which she cherished each and every day. Everyone loved their GRAMMY. In her early retirement years, she enjoyed travelling, whether it was going eastward to visit or south for the winter. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing and gardening, where her green thumb was very evident.
Gladys was the second oldest of her four siblings. Survived by her two children, Bob (Bev) and Brenda (Darren); five grandchildren, Kim, Kerri, Chrystie (Neco), Aaron (Dena) and Jace; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brother, Ken (Sheila) and sister-in-law, Marlene.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gladys’ memory may be made to the Alberta’s Children Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
