Gail Patricia Lanz, age 83, of Redcliff, Alberta, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at Masterpiece Southland Meadows, Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Gail was first and foremost a homemaker, mother, wife, and grandmother. She took great pride in her family and beautiful home she created and maintained for them. The aroma of her homecooked meals will be remembered by all family and friends that had the privilege to enjoy them over the years. Gail’s backyard gardens were equally as beautiful as the inside of the home. Gail’s green thumb brough ordinary soil into a vibrant tapestry of colour and fragrance. She was a member of the local horticultural society for many years welcoming tours of her lush gardens and hosting several weddings.
Gail will be remembered by her family of her kindness and gentle nature, caring for several family members over the years in their time of need.
Gail will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Alvin “Smokey” Lanz; her sons, Ron Lanz and Donny (Laurie) Lanz; grandchildren, Reid (Kyla) Lanz, Hayley (Ty) McKenna, Riley Lanz and Sidney Lanz (Alex); great grandchildren, Kayson Lanz and Maysen McKenna; step grandchildren, Kurt Wepruk (Leighton & Landon) and Nick Wepruk (Sarah); sister-in-law, Carol Ogilvie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
