Frances "Jackie" Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Jackie Smith announces her passing on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jackie was predeceased by her parents; brother, Robert; sister, Patricia; grand daughter-in-law, Kayleigh; son, Dale; and daughter, Michelle.
Jackie enjoyed community volunteering and camping throughout Western Canada. The highlight of her summers were time spent at their cabin in Saskatchewan and later wintering in Yuma, Arizona.
She leaves to mourn, Ron Smith, her husband of 64 years; grandson, Gregory Brooks and family; grandson, Dustin Smith (Jocelyn and Daniel); grandson, Brandon Smith (Rylee and Ryder); brother, Oliver Dailey; and sister-in-law Marilyn Dailey.
At her request, there will be no formal service as she chose to be cremated. The family would like to thank Dr. A. Hrdlicka, Home Care staff, and staff at St. Joseph’s Carmel Hospice for their competent care and compassion shown to Jackie.
