Ellen Mastel Obituary
The family of Ellen Gail (Campbell) Mastel born July 11, 1955. announce her passing December 19, 2024. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dan Mastel, and their children Jen (Tim) and Charles (Terri); grandchildren, Shaydel (Fabian) Esteban, Tristan Brigden, Inara and Oliver Mastel; great -grandchilden, Ezra Esteban and his sister expected in April. Ellen is also survived by her mother, Annetta Lozo; siblings, Lorna, Robert (Shelley), Kathleen (Nic) and Michael (Rose); sister-in-law, Mary Mastel. She was predeceased by her father, William Campbell; brother, Melvin (Sharon); sister, Margaret; and niece, Megan. Several nieces, nephews, family and friends will also carry on her memory.
A couple of Mom’s accomplishments include working with Medicine Hat Family Service for 30 years, and many years of involvement with the Alberta Northwest Territories Legion Ladies Auxiliary highlighted by her time serving as Ladies Auxiliary Command President. Family and holidays were always important to mom.
Thank you to the staff of 4W, Carmel Hospice, Home Care and the medical staff through Healthworx for the excellent care. As per her request there will be no formal service. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Arthritis Society or Diabetes Society.
