With great sadness we are informing you of the passing of Edward Davey (Ed) after a long hard battle with cancer at St Joseph's Hospice.
He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise; his pride and joy, Neal (Connie), Trevor, Sara (Chris) and Jeffery; his greatest pride his grandkids, Connor, Scarlett, Arlen and Elijah. Ed was also survived by his support team of brothers and sisters, Doug (Cynthia), Jocie (David), Sandra (Lawrence), Katie (Lorne), Karen (Terry), Bob, Pam (Daryl), Janet (Rob), Richard (Pam), Dennis (Zak), and Jason; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law, Loreen (Larry) joined the support team as well.
Ed was predeceased by his Mom and Dad; brothers, Terry and Perry; as well as Louise's parents.
He spent all his life being a truck driver and has many many great friends from this industry. His hobbies included his family, a cold beer and country music. He was a dedicated Toronto Maple Leaf fan as well as the Blue Jays.
A per Ed’s request, no formal service will be held. A celebration of life will be on Aug 23 at 966 Queen St SE. Please wear your comfy clothes, bring a chair and enjoy a cold one and some music from 3pm – 7pm. All stories are welcome.
