Gone Fishing!
Ross Munro passed away on February 14th, 2026, at the age of 82 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Anne Munro; son, Jim (Cheryl); daughters, Aleda (Sean) and Trenell (Raymond); grandchildren, Alexa (Kalen), Logan (Kristina), and Kelsey (Candice).
Ross was born in Regina, SK. Ross and Anne were married in Calgary in 1969. He worked for Pacific Western Airlines for 10 years as a ramp supervisor and station manager in Calgary and Williams Lake. Eventually, his family moved to Inuvik, NWT where he continued to work in aviation as a Station Manager at Jet Air. After the closure of Jet Air, he became a firefighter for Transport Canada, and eventually an Airport Manager across Northern and Western Canada. He was an avid reader and fisherman. He especially loved fly fishing and tying his own flies. Ross loved his grandchildren. He was a very generous man who loved helping people.
No formal service will be held.
