Douglas (Doug) Bruce Rousseau

Douglas Rousseau, 66, of Medicine Hat, AB, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, with his wife, Linda, forever by his side.  Doug was born on August 13, 1955, in Kindersley, SK, to Alvina (Eileen) and Arthur (Dale) Rousseau.  Doug was an avid golfer spending many an hour at Redcliff Riverview Golf Course.  Doug loved camping and traveling; the next trip planned being Australia.  No matter where he was, his sense of humor followed. During quiet moments he could be found engrossed in a good book or fishing out at Sandy Point.  Other interests included playing cards, carpentry projects (with his greatest achievement being the home he built in Oliver, BC), and exercising his extraordinary culinary skills.  Many of these activities were happily shared alongside his family members.  To Doug, his family was always #1!  Crib tournaments were on the top of his list at family Christmases. Doug is fondly remembered by his girls - Sarah Rousseau (husband - Jaymon Santer), Lindsay (Myles) Dunbar, Kelli (Dylan) Ireland, Kayla (Stuart) Curzon, Kari Green (fiancé - Corbin Lightfoot), and his devoted life partner, Linda Green.  Near and dear to his heart are his grandchildren - Hadlee & Huxley Dunbar, Jovi & Haylen Ireland, and Nicholas & Adrianna Curzon.  He is also survived by his brother, Russell (Anna) Rousseau and his two sisters, Debra (Bob) Puetz, and Joanne (Allan) DeLisle, along with an Aunt/ Uncle, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Doug was predeceased by grandparents, Beatrice & Arnold Jorgenson, Marguerite & Arthur Rousseau, parents Eileen & Dale Rousseau and nephew, Matthew J. Puetz.  A “Celebration of Life” is planned for Spring of 2022 in Redcliff, AB.
