Diane Lucille Swanson

Diane Swanson of Medicine Hat, AB, passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Michelle (Scott) Munsch, Jackie (Harvey Leslie) Swanson, Kendra (Lee) Wedge; grandchildren, Dylan Leslie, Reece (Dalton) Munsch, Quinn Leslie, Riley Munsch, Xavier Wedge, Kooper Wedge and Willow Munsch; brothers Don (Pat) English, Darcy (Agnes) English; and sister Maureen (Howard) Stirling. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Merle and Adele English.

Diane was born on August 15, 1953, in Maple Creek, SK. She attended school in Piapot, SK and finished high school in Maple Creek, SK. After graduation, Diane attended hairdressing school in Calgary. She also completed the Special Care Aide Course, and the Office Administration Course from the Cypress College. Diane was an avid sewer, knitter, crocheter, petit point, quilter, and scrapbooker.

Diane was a community history buff. To Diane, her family was everything. She loved being the union representative on behalf of her fellow employees to the amusement of her family. She also loved discussions with neighbours and family around the kitchen table.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 24, 2023 at 2:00PM at the Maple Creek United Church (301 Maple Street, Maple Creek, SK).
