It is with sadness we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Demetre Kirizopoulos, on March 6, 2026, at the age of 53 years. Demetre was born on August 29, 1972, in Athens, Greece.
Demetre is survived by his mother, Anna; brother, Evangelos; sister, Dominica; and nephews, Drew, Ethan, and Talyn. He was predeceased by his father, Gus.
Demetre was a very special friend to all of us. He was known by many as being gentle, polite, caring, and loyal to family. Because his life was cut short, he never had the life that he had desired. We find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and at peace.
Jehovah has a bigger plan for Demetre. This life is just a temporary stepping stone to something better, even greater. Demetre’s life on earth was so small in comparison to the real life that Jehovah is about to give him. In the future, Jehovah is planning to give Demetre everlasting life in a beautiful paradise on earth.
Demetre had full confidence in this future promise as recorded in Psalm 145:16 where it reads, “You (Jehovah) open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.”
We will miss you more than words can express. Your memory will live on in all of us, and you will never be forgotten.
