Deborah Margaret Gray

Deborah Gray passed away on December 5th, 2023, at the age of 65 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Travis Gray and Justin Gray; brother, Reid Sutherland; sister, Bev Johnson; niece, Erin Deschamps; nephews, Michael and Bradley Johnson. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Margaret Sutherland.

Deborah was born in Winnipeg, MB. The family moved to Kelowna in 1986 and it was there she graduated from U of Victoria (Kelowna) as a BScN. Deb worked as a Public Health Nurse in Kelowna, Prince Rupert, and finally in Brooks, Alberta. During her chemotherapy and long battle with cancer, she had joined The Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science (IMHS) and truly applied herself to the studies keeping herself busy and learning while having harsh treatments. Even with the chemo giving what they call “brain fog”, she was able to do so much. Some of her big accomplishments included completing 2 PhD’s in April 2023, earning The Akasha Scholars Award (rarely awarded), finishing the doctoral program with honours (99.28%), Summa cum laude (with highest honours). She was always professional and dedicated to her studies. 

Deb was a kind, wonderful mother, sister, and friend to so many.
