David Sawyer Obituary
David Thomas Sawyer passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 71, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his companion and wife of 40 years, Carolyn. Best daughter we could ask for Rebecca (Becci), her husband Aaron and granddaughter Brooke Rose. Step-son, Scott and granddaughter Alexandria. Three brothers, Doug (Margery), Fred (Gloria) and Dan. Several nieces and nephews.
Dave is pre-deceased by his parents, Ida and Thomas Sawyer; sister-in-law, Marion Sawyer; great nephew, TJ Sawyer. Mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Alex Berreth; sister-in-law, Joan Zeeb.
Dave and Carolyn were married on December 21, 1984 at Peterborough, Ontario. Dave said when he got married there would be a storm; and storm we had, thunder and lightning on the first day of winter.
Dave was a kind and caring man. His family and friends were very important to him. He will be dearly missed by us all.
Memorial service will be at Elks Hall in Maple Creek, Sask. on January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM, Central Standard Time.
