Curtis Bohnet Obituary

Bohnet, Curtis Lee, Born in Medicine Hat on May 20, 1981. Passed on September 28, 2021, at the age of 40 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his father and step mother, Kim and Marlene Bohnet; sister Lana Richardson; niece Harlyn, nephew Rier; step-sister and family Tammy(Darryl) Ross, Brandyn(Amera), Dustyn (Brooke), Kaitlyn; and step-brother Brent(Brad East) Satzke; grandfathers Ralph Wutzke and George(Rosemarie) Bohnet; Uncle Troy(Jennifer) Bohnet. Curtis was predeceased by his grandmothers Caroline Bohnet and Laura Wutzke; Aunt Lilly Fandrich; and beloved mother, Marilyn Moore. Those who knew Curtis knew he struggled his entire teen and adult life with both addiction and the chaos in life that comes from addiction. He experienced so much heartache and so much hardship. Curtis was an incredibly hard worker. He worked with efficiency and determination to serve those he loved and on job sites. He had one speed – Go! Much can be learned from the softness that did remain within Curtis despite the hardness in his life. Curtis’ special qualities were that he didn’t judge. He listened more than he talked. He looked more at his own short comings than those of others. He would apologize and he treated others with respect. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct 7th at 1:30pm at the CROSSROADS CHURCH, 1340 22 St SE. The viewing for Curtis will be held on Wednesday Oct 6 from 6:00-7:00pm at Grace Memorial, 1924 10th Ave NW, Medicine Hat.
If at Curtis' funeral on Thursday we exceed the 50 maximum allowable attendees, according to Covid restrictions, you will not be turned away. You will be able to listen outside, to the service occurring inside.
Donations can be made in Curtis' memory to McMan LYNX House 941 S Railway St SE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 2W3 Attn: Sara Pettigrew.
