The death occurred peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, February 22 of Charles St. Clair “Clair” Trainor of the AgeCare Valleyview Home and formerly of Prince Edward Island, aged 66 years. Born on June 7, 1954 to Louis Trainor (Summerside, PEI) and the late Teresa (McCabe) Trainor. Survived by his sisters and brother, Dorie (late Gerhard Engel), George (Marg), and Sheila Trainor (Summerside, PEI). Also survived by his nephew and niece, Trevor Trainor and Jillian Trainor (Alberton, PEI), Uncle Aeneas Trainor and Aunt Phyllis Keoughan (both of Charlottetown, PEI); step-daughters, Rickelle Wallis and Nadelle Stanvick; step-granddaughter, Sherra Wallis and her daughter, Zoey; as well as many cousins and friends.
Besides his mother, Clair was pre-deceased by his Trainor and McCabe grandparents; step-mother, Mary (McCabe) Trainor; partner, Audrey; brothers, Eugene (in infancy) and Gregory; and sister, Eunice.
Resting at Grace Memorial Affordable Burial & Cremation. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 5 at 1:30pm with Father Roque officiating. Due to Covid-19 regulations, service attendance is by invitation only. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, PEI at a later date.
