Carol Nakamura Obituary
Carol Julie Nakamura, nee Morishita, mother to Dean and Emily, passed away on January 22, 2026. Her final moments were spent peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home in Medicine Hat, Alberta, with her daughter and grandchildren.
Known for her commitment to family and love of children, Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Carol’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her son, Dean; daughter, Emily; grandchildren, Ian and Kaelyx; siblings, Norma (Joel), Patrick, and Terry (Maureen). Carol will be missed by her nieces and nephews: Barry (Jeanne), Lorna (Troy), Brad (Donna), Tammy (Harry), Cody, Jordon, Cam (Diana), and Candace (Jordan); and numerous great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Kiwi.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, Butch; her parents, Norito Norman and Masae Pat; her brothers, Doug and Larry; and her nephew, Daryl.
A private celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
