It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Barnes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Brenda passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born in Eatonia, Saskatchewan to surviving parents, Don Barnes & Doreen Barnes (Bailey) on September 18, 1962. Brenda grew up surrounded by the beauty of the prairies and a close-knit community. She was known for her kindness, her loving heart, and her strong spirit. Brenda touched the lives of everyone she met and had a special gift for making people feel at home.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her loving spouse, Gord, with whom she shared many wonderful years together. She was a proud mother to Darcy (Amanda), Dustin (Lori), and Dawna (Al), and an adored grandmother to her grandchildren: Ryan, Nova, Emma, Paisley, Peyton, and Aubree.
Her family was her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Brenda's warmth and generosity extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a steadfast friend, always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand.
Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held in the spring, with details to follow.
Brenda's love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be missed dearly but never forgotten.
