Andrew Harris

Andrew John Harris, better known as Andy or Tank, passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 66. He was raised in Redcliff and moved to Medicine Hat in his early adult life. 

Andy was the son of Arthur and Marie Harris, brother to Judy, brother-in-law to Sid, uncle to Laura and Steven, and great uncle to Florence and Felix. He was predeceased by his parents when they and he were much too young. 

Andy had a passion for rock music and loved to karaoke. Apparently, he could do a mean rendition of ‘Smoke on the Water’. He was also a huge fan of NASCAR and enjoyed going to Saskatoon several times to watch some Canadian racing. He also made some trips with his friends to watch his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders and to see several concerts including Iron Maiden. He was also a hardworking and trustworthy employee. 

Andy will be remembered as a fun loving, humorous, friendly person. He endured many health challenges, but the latest setback was just too much.  

Sincere thanks to Rick and Sheryl and the staff of Riverview Care Centre for making him part of their families and for looking after him through the good and the tough times. So much appreciated. 

Andy will be cremated with a graveside service to be arranged for some time in the spring.
