Allan James Stang

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Allan James Stang at the age of 72.

Al passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, AB, surrounded by his family. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Rhonda; son, Jason; daughter, Shannon (Alan); granddaughters, Brooklynn and Shelby; grandson, Carson; his siblings, Irma (Glenn), Sharon (Fred), and Lorne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Allan was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosabell; sister, Donna.

Allan grew up in Macklin, SK. After high school, he moved to Edmonton, AB. He met the love of his life, Rhonda, and they married in June 1977. Allan and his family later moved to Saskatoon, SK. Allan was a businessman and an entrepreneur at heart. Allan opened up his first business, a grocery store called Stang’s Grocery. This business venture later evolved to owning and successfully operating a couple grocery stores in Saskatchewan under the Shop Easy brand. Allan later retired and moved to Medicine Hat, AB to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Macklin, SK.
